HOT DEALS AND NEW HOTELS
Hotel Cortiina is the result of one of Munich’s most inspired partnerships – that of gastronome Rudi Kull and architect Albert Weinzierl. Similar to Kull and Weinzierl’s other establishments, the Cortiina is situated in the idyllic heart of the city’s old town, neighbored by cultural venues such as Munich’s opera house. A sanctuary of refined design, the Cortiina boasts unparalleled access to the city’s creative scene thanks to its well-connected owners. The Hotel Cortiina, with its feng shui inspired ambiance, exemplifies Kull and Weinzierl’s shared philosophy, synthesizing sophisticated design, impeccable service and a uniquely authentic relationship with the surrounding community.
Encompassing 75 rooms spread across the hotel’s main building, a rear wing and a more recently added apartment wing, the Cortiina’s aesthetic is one of relaxed elegance and soothing minimalism. Tranquil feng shui aesthetics permeate every aspect of the Cortiina, including the hotel’s name itself, which was modified to express harmonious balance. Regional materials such as stone pine, bronze, linen and bog oak coalesce in each guestroom’s harmonious arrangement, underscored by warm, mood-enhancing hues of deep crimsons and rich earth tones. While the sun terrace offers picturesque views of the city’s most historic rooftops, the golden glow of the classic Cortiina Bar invites guests to partake in Munich’s well-heeled social scene late into the night.
Rising above Munich’s historic old town, the Cortiina Hotel’s combination of meditative feng shui design and natural, “honest” materials endows this urban retreat with soothing elegance that’s strongly connected to the Bavarian capital’s local scene.
