25HOURS HOTEL TAILORED BY LEVI'S FRANKFURT, GERMANY |
 |
Located in the heart of Frankfurt’s commercial centre, just minutes away from both the Main Station and primary fair and exhibition centre, 25hours Hotel Taliored by Levis offers the utmost in convenience while simultaneously providing a young and laidback atmosphere for the modern business traveller.
Housed in a former office building revamped by architect Karl Dudler, the hotel exterior consists of clean lines, simple forms and chrome accents – professional and cosmopolitan. Inside, though, designers Delphine Buhro and Michael Dreher have spiced things up, imbuing Dudler’s pared-down minimalism with a playful flair, partly inspired party by the hotel’s fashionable next-door neighbour, the new German headquarters of Levi Strauss. In a nod to the close working relationship between the hotel and clothing label, Buhro and Dreher incorporated elements of American popular culture into their design, which, like a good pair of worn-in blue jeans, is timeless and comfortable.
Hotel 25hours Taliored by Levi's can be seen as an homage to the fashion, culture and style of the 1930s to 1980s, with each of the six floors dedicated to a different decade – complete with appropriate colour palette, furniture, finishings and even music. The unifying theme is "blue jeans", with all 71 guest rooms and five extra-large studios decked out in different shades of blue, from cobalt to azure, indigo to turquoise. Each of these urban retreats is equipped with flat-screen TV, iHome and free WiFi.
In place of classic twin rooms, the hotel offers doubles specifically tailored to visitors in town for a trade fair, featuring bunk beds with individual TVs that afford privacy and leave more room space to spread out work. Downstairs, the ground floor includes an 100-square-metre multifunction meeting and conference area – the "living room" – that can be divided into two spaces and includes an iMac work station and small foyer for coffee breaks. Hotel 25hours’s private rooftop terrace with breathtaking skyline views over Frankfurt provides an alternative location for events and celebrations.
A 55-seat restaurant with quiet inner courtyard offers delicious fare around the clock, including an early-bird breakfast special, late-night snacks, all-day coffee and cake and large selection of take-away items. Innovative Frankfurt catering institution Nykke&Kokki has put together a small kitchen offering creative reinterpretations of traditional snacks, soups and salads – all prepared with healthy, organic, local ingredients. The most important gastronomic element is the speciality bread, ambitiously conceived as the best country bread in Frankfurt, served with homemade jams or sandwich-style with cold cuts. |
