MEET THE ORIGINAL: WOLFGANG LOOCK
Q! Hotel Berlin owner Wolfgang Loock first sprang to notoriety in the 1970's with his Cologne-based nightclub "Piccionaia," often likened to the legendary Studio 54. In 1991, he moved to Berlin and founded the company "Loock Hotels," which operates Q! Hotel Berlin. Surprisingly, Loock's vision for Q!'s design concept was inspired by the nature of the UK. He states, "when I was on holidays in Ireland, the amazing landscapes, curves, hills, just everything I saw led to the idea. At the time Berlin was just about to become a metropolis comparable to London, New York and Paris, where design-hotels already existed. Berlin didn't have anything like that. So that's how it all started." With his pioneering attitude, Loock has established Q! as an iconic Berlin destination and one of the city's most celebrated locations.
