HOT DEALS AND NEW HOTELS
In the heart of the quartier of Saint-Germain-des-Prés in Paris, pole of attraction to Parisian intellectuals since the Eighteenth Century, you can go for a walk around the neighborhood to enjoy the beautiful Rive Gauche, find some of the most complete and interesting bookshops in Paris, stop by one of its historical cafés, like Le Deux Magots or the Café de Flore; or simply get lost in the enchanting streets around the church of Saint-Sulpice to find hidden restaurants and young designers’ stores. The café Procope, for instance, which still exists, was the meeting point for the Encyclopédistes, and also for the future Revolutionists Danton, Marat and Guillotin. More recently, the quartier became the intellectual center of the city, being the place in which it was, and still is, usual to find artists, writers, and philosophers.
In this environment, at the 7-11, rue Saint Benoît you will find that the Hotel BEL-AMI, having the utmost contemporary and stylish ambiance in Paris, brings together in its concept and design the most interesting characteristics of its setting: history, cultural life, and sophisticated choices for relaxing, shopping and eating.
The Hotel BEL AMI is located within the renovation of a former 19th century printing works, in which the first copy of Guy de Maupassant’s novel Bel Ami was printed; and it has been recently redesigned by architect and designer Philippe Maidenberg.
Inspired by its literary background, Philippe Maidenberg conceived the newly refurnished bedrooms as elegant and minimal environments in which one can easily settle, with a desk and bookshelves to read and write, or to use as dresser if necessary. Luxury fabrics, pastel and bright colours complete the ensemble for an elegant, comfortable, yet cutting-edge atmosphere. As you exit the building, only a few steps away, there are the church and the abbey that give name to the neighborhood, Saint-Germain-des-Prés; founded in the Fifth Century, is the most ancient church in Paris.
