The natural elements of the island of Corsica were the inspiration for La Plage Casadelmar. The crisp sunlight, the colors of the surrounding landscape, and the warm hospitality of the people were all used as the ingredients to create a property that complements its immaculate coastal location. The hotel is set on a sandy beach in the bay of Porto-Vecchio, a port town that is famed for its spirited nightlife and easy going elegance.
Award-winning French architect Jean-François Bodin used natural materials to renovate the existing building, creating an unobtrusive structure that does not interfere with the views or landscape. Inside and out, old stone has been blended with volcanic rock, cement, resin, glass, and 300-year-old oak; and colors picked from the shoreline in varying shades of green, blue, and sandy browns, white, beige and cream have been used for the furnishings. With only 15 rooms and suites, and the same management as its nearby sister property, Casadelmar, guests will enjoy individualized service.
Whether they are dining with ocean views at the beach grill restaurant, serving uncomplicated gourmet cuisine with Mediterranean flavours, are reclining on a day bed by the heated pool, or toasting to the day’s end at the lounge bar – they will be surrounded by the riches of this extraordinary island, and warm, genuine hospitality.

LOCATION OF LA PLAGE CASADELMAR
La Plage Casadelmar is situated in the region of Lecci on the small peninsula Benedettu in the bay of Porto-Vecchio, just one hour and a half away from Paris. Porto-Vecchio is a commune in the Corse-du-Sud department of France on the island of Corsica. The appeal of Porto-Vecchio lies in both its attractive, compact old part of the town, full of chic bars, restaurants and boutiques set amongst charming old buildings, and the modern harbour surroundings where you find expensive luxury yachts, international ferries and fishing boats. Porto-Vecchio also enjoys the short distance to two of Corsica's most famous beaches, Palombaggia and Santa Guilia, which are located just south of Porto-Vecchio.
