Just behind Austria's parliament building in central Vienna, The Levante Parliament is located around an elegant 400-square-meter courtyard. Here, separated from the bustling city, guests find a relaxing lounge ambience; an oasis of tranquillity detached from summer heat and winter's frost. Like the rest of the property, the courtyard reflects a concept based on the four natural elements. In this airy space, water features are complemented by fire-orange details and contemporary sculpture, all set against a background of earthy natural materials. Guests are also surrounded by high culture and a little history: in an original Bauhaus building dating from 1908, modern design influences infuse the property, and the space also functions as an art gallery. Black-and-white portraits of dancers from the State Opera by noted Viennese photographer Curt Themessl grace the hotel's walls, and glass objects by artist Ioan Nemtoi are on display in the prominent exhibition area. Nemtoi was also instrumental in the hotel's design – a restaurant-bar bearing his name pays homage to his vision with both eye-catching works of glass art and seasonally rotating multicultural fusion cuisine.
