HOT DEALS AND NEW HOTELS
The Surin Phuket will close from May 1, 2012 until July 15, 2012 for a second and final phase of renovation which will include adding a new Spa, a signature Pool Suite and a Kids Club.
Amidst coconut palms and gently rolling slopes, The Surin Phuket elegantly nestles in the tropical landscape along the island's finest white sandy beach at Pansea Bay. Paris-based architect and designer Ed Tuttle who originally designed The Surin, formerly known as The Chedi, returned to rejuvenate this celebrated resort. All rooms and facilities have been entirely renovated in a fresh take on Thai beach cottages that combines local materials and Thai designs with modern functionality. Elevated walkways link pavilions and public buildings, offering guests unobstructed views of the ocean, while the private cottages invite the surrounding nature inside through shuttered doors. A private veranda and secluded sun deck ensconce each cottage in its own patch of paradise. Here, guests can breathe easy in custom-made designs and earthy colors that reflect the organic aesthetic of Tuttle's tropical vision or take advantage of discreet, yet always attentive service. The restaurant's dramatic lighting and the graphic elegance of the hotel library nicely contrast the hotel's organic accents. Lustrous black anthracite makes up the hexagonal pool's tiling and creates dramatic reflections at night, enhancing the already otherworldly wonder of this tropical retreat – the ultimate in Southeast Asian seaside serenity.
