| Located in the foothills of the Aso Kuju National Park, Resonate Club merges effortlessly with nature. The lodge-style resort was designed by Atelier Mobile – a member of the renowned Japanese cooperative Team Zoo - and spearheaded by its founder Kinya Maruyama. In keeping with Team Zoo’s guiding principle of not separating the architecture from the landscape, the resort is comprised of a sprawling complex of low-lying buildings where the use of local and natural materials is prevalent in both the interior design and the exterior structure. Two-tone neutral colours, wood floors, high-beamed ceilings and abundant natural light emphasize the resort’s strong harmony with nature. Custom-designed furniture by Atelier Mobile is made of Japanese Hinoki wood. Guestrooms retain a simple contemporary design where natural materials resonate warmth and also provide ecological solutions for temperature control. |
