Located 500 m from the beach, the resort is looking out to beautiful, verdant paddy fields leading out to the Arabian Sea. If one were to try to imagine the perfect beach resort and then add on a few handfuls of additional elements that are beyond the scope of any normal person’s imagination, the picture that would come to mind would be Alila Diwa Goa. As perfect a beach resort as there is and then some, the Alila Diwa Goa is the newest gem on the South Goan coast and the newest powerhouse member of the Alila Hotels & Resorts group.

Situated on Majorda Beach, the resort peers out on one side deep into the azure Arabian Sea and on the other over lush, verdant rice paddies. It is a sanctuary of contemporary elegance run through with traditional Goan design elements. The Alila Hotels & Resorts group takes great pains to minimise its environmental impact by using primarily local materials and working with the landscape to preserve indigenous ecosystems. The resorts aesthetic scheme reflects these efforts, blending effortlessly and gracefully into its natural setting.

The resort’s one hundred and fourteen guest rooms and suites span over three levels. The eighty-five terrace and family terrace rooms on the ground floor open onto cool verandahs, allowing guests ample space to relax in privacy, under a palms shade and while feeling the chilled sea breeze. On the upper level, twenty-one loft-style rooms laded with wooden furnishings and architectural elements, open up onto large, overhanging, private balconies. The resort offers eight suites for guests seeking a bit more space or seclusion. Six of those eight, the Diwa Suites, are ideal for family stays as they include an additional living room. The remaining two, the Alila Suites, are catered to provide couples an ideal romantic retreat by placing emphasis more on privacy and on an extended bath experience.

Alila Diwa Goa is endowed with a beautiful spa that provides unique treatments blending ancient Asian healing techniques with ancient beauty recipes. The resort’s infinity pool allows guests to peer over its edge as though they are swimming at the horizon and its recreational facilities – such as the two on-site restaurants, kids pool and outdoor children’s play area – provide endless hours of entertainment for the whole family. The three on-site restaurants cater to any fancy, blending the best of local flavour with a fresh, contemporary twist. Guests can cool down after a day in the sun or take a nightcap after a satisfying meal at The Edge Bar and Lounge.
