Papaya Playa Beach Club serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with locally grown organic vegetables and fruits in season. The menu is a creative and sensitive twist to the typical antojito’s (small portions) and Mexican-inspired tapas. The bar area serves snacks and drinks and the Tribal Room serves drinks.

RECREATIONAL FACILITIES

• Located beachside on the property’s natural rocky ledge, Spa at Papaya Playa offers a selection of physical and spiritual treatments delivered by local therapists. A series of outdoor treatment spaces on a terrace directly overlooking the ocean provide the perfect environment for decompressing and reconnecting with your body. Two cabañas are available for those preferring indoor treatments. To cleanse body and spirit, the Temazcal or Mexican Huicol (sweat lodge) is a traditional ritual where an herbal tea is poured over hot volcanic rocks, creating steam inside a domed hut that cleans your body, and restores your equilibrium, while the resident Shaman leads the intimate group in meditative chants and healing verses. The spa reception is open between 9am – 6pm daily.

• Papaya Playa has its very own kite boarding school on property. Be sure to drop by the beachfront watersports shack and say hello to Macondo, the local kite-boarding pro. He conducts kite boarding and surfing lessons on the property's beach. Guests can also rent a surfboard, skim boards or kayaks to make the most of their time in the water.
