MEET THE ORIGINAL: NINA ANDRADE SILVA
Portuguese-born interior designer Nini Andrade Silva was inspired by gold, emeralds and her love of evoking sensation through color and tone when designing the décor for B.O.G. Hotel, creating an environment which is at the same time stark and luxurious, functional and whimsical.
“An interviewer called me ‘Ninimalist’ because my name is Nini, and instead of being a minimalist, I always like to try to give warmth to any design concept. I like to do things with a dash of fantasy,” she says, adding that it is not what you see which makes a place special, but what you feel.
