São Paulo is a major cultural and economic centre for Latin America. The São Paulo Museum of Art has a fine international collection and is located in an impressive brutalist building dating back to 1968. The Edificio Itália, a 168-meter tall skyscraper, has a rooftop observation deck with a fascinating view of the city. The Ibirapuera Park has a number of buildings by the internationally renown architect Oscar Niemeyer.
