Jan Becker
Jan Becker has the gift of extrasensory perception. He sees the thoughts of others, knows their secrets and passions, their strengths and weaknesses. During notable performances he correctly guessed the pin code of actor Ben Becker in order to empty his bank account, and made passengers in the subway lose their self-control.
Becker seduces his audience with his black humor and nearly supernatural, transcendental abilities. Theater Grand Guignol, André Breton and the Dada-Movement – his greatest inspiration can be found in Paris of the 1930s. Becker is fascinated by the way these challenged the established art forms with irony, coincidental poetry, and collage.
Little is known about his background – the man who can see through almost everyone doesn't like to be seen through. Over years he has analyzed more than 90,000 people on the streets and collected their stories. He was drawn to the Demimonde of variety shows, full of bizarre personalities and body artists. He held himself afloat with con artist tricks and card games. In 2009 he won the reality television challenge “The next Uri Geller – Unglaubliche Phänomene Live.” He continues to perform in successful stage shows and has become one of the most renowned mentalists in Europe.
