Hans Decker

Hans Decker is the creative mind behind the delicious creations of Lapp & Fao, a renowned producer of fine foods from Bremen. As the company’s head pastry chef, Decker is responsible for first-class delicacies such as dark chocolate with pineapple, ginger and Jamaica rum or white chocolate with Madras curry and bananas. Together with Lapp & Fao’s managing proprietor Carl-Lambert Leisewitz, Decker and his team develop a wide range of gourmet products, always using the finest ingredients and achieving surprising and tantalizing taste sensations. Trained as a confectioner and baker, he worked for numerous luxury hotels and gourmet restaurants in Germany as pastry chef or consultant. In 1986 he founded Europe’s first pastry academy that he managed successfully for the following 16 years. In addition to his work for Lapp & Foa, Decker is the author of several respected cookbooks.
