Characteristic and awarded taste: The original Apollinaris spring in Bad Neuenahr has provided our products with naturally fine sparkling mineral water since 1852. Natural mineral water is obtained from deep spring water. It is formed in a process that takes decades, as rainwater flows and is filtered through various layers of stone, gravel and sand. The water finally collects at a depth of about 200 meters, where it is largely protected from environmental influences. Natural spring carbonation gives Apollinaris its fine sparkle. It is created by volcanic processes deep within the earth’s interior. As volcanic magma cools it releases carbonation, which bonds with the spring water and has the special ability to extract greater amounts of mineral nutrients from the layers of stone.
