WHAT YOU MISSED IN BARCELONA
We would like to share with you some statements from our attendees and guests from last year:
Anders Johansson
Managing director
Nordic Hotels, Stockholm:
"This year´s Future Forum was the best ever. I really enjoyed every single part of the three days. It is a perfect mix of trends, progress within design hotels and meeting and exchanging ideas with people. The only thing missing is a few more managing directors from member hotels, but I know you are working hard on that. I am already looking forward to the next Future Forum and the next ARENA."
Sonja Holverson
Professeur en Marketing
Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne:
"Many thanks again for your brilliant conference. It was, without a doubt, one of the more outstanding events that I’ve attended. Having personally organized events in the past myself, I must say that your programme planning, guest speaker selection and logistics were impeccable. I thoroughly enjoyed all of it and gained valuable insight into the sector and met some fascinating people. This is an original and beneficial event that you offer your hotel members and I congratulate you on its success."
Tom DeGres / Arne Quinze
Quinze and Milan:
"On behalf of Arne Quinze and myself, we would like to thank you and your great team for having us as a guests at the FUTURE FORUM these past days in Barcelona.
We are truly impressed about the professionalism of your team and the warm atmosphere we enjoyed during our stay."

“Synergy” is a corporate byword that characterized the merger mania of the 1990s, but it applies perhaps better to the blending of separate disciplines in the creation of a high-level hospitality experience. The era of turning the hotel world upside down with sharp, modern design is, unfortunately, approaching its expiration date: as boutique hotels have proliferated around the world, new combinations of attractive elements are necessary to stay resolutely modern. A rethink of the basics is in order: hence NEW SHELTER, the theme of our symposium.
Shelter is a basic need; however, to make a shelter into a desirable destination, one must also fulfill other basic needs at a high level. This is why we’re looking at innovative takes on food and culture as well as on environmental sustainability.
NEW SHELTER is a comprehensive hospitality concept that falls beyond name-brand design, establishing a holistic framework that allows spectacular integration of different disciplines. A marriage of design, art, architecture and cuisine is at stake: the hotel of the future will attract guests by its seamless combination of these disciplines, taking into account local influences and flavors in an environmentally sustainable way. Not a "cookie-cutter" concept, but rather a call to creativity, NEW SHELTER will be interpreted by the cultural trend experts extraordinaires at Future Laboratory, forward-thinking chefs, and artists.
The symposium is an interactive affair. The morning is devoted to four presentations; four individual laboratories will fill the afternoon, with key speakers from the morning session acting as facilitators. Guests now become active participants with the opportunity for one-to-one and intra-group exchanges, sharing wisdom and experience, and bringing new perspectives to the topic at hand.
VENUE: Top Studios Barcelona
TIME: 9:30 am - 7:00 pm
WHO: FUTURE FORUM is designed for investors, hoteliers, architects, designers, developers, consultants, and all those interested in progressive and holistic concepts for hospitality, as well as the possibility of establishing themselves in a growing niche with an upscale clientele.
