Learn about our conscious principles

We spoke with the team at Almyra to learn the latest on the hotel’s conscious journey.

What is your sustainability philosophy?

Sustainable tourism and corporate social responsibility are key parts of our company identity. We not only take all necessary steps to protect and support our local natural and historic environments but we also prioritize supporting our local community. This is done by embracing culture and the arts, by creating opportunities that enhance the education of the next generation, and by contributing to animal welfare through our registered charity.

How do you forge a connection to the local community and cultural surroundings?

Inspired by “Cultural Capital Paphos 2017,” we began sponsoring and hosting local cultural events, subsequently offering a support platform to local artists. Since then, more than 40 unique events have given dozens of local artists—in the fields of photography, painting, sculpture, ceramics, writing, and more—the opportunity to present their work to the public.

What do you see as the biggest sustainability hurdle for hotels? How are you combating that?

We strive to meet guests’ expectations and maintain 5-star hotel standards while emphasizing sustainability for both guests and employees.
